What does a sunday look like @ Mosaic Kids? Why mosaic kids? & Why do kids join adults during the worship gathering?

Those are good questions; Kids enter with families, enjoy something from the hospitality bar(hot chocolate is a fan fav) & and then they dive into the Kid's Corner. (an area designed for kids)

Johni's Story ... First of all, I love the fact that during a section of our gathering we all worship together (sometimes it's at the end....).  When the kids see us worship they begin to feel the freedom to join in and eventually they worship on their own.  In a very casual natural way, we spend time investing into their lives and they are doing the same for all of us.

To further their growth we do set aside a time (mosaic kids) to focus on the bible and their individual relationship with God.  Although, this is what is taking place in the large gathering time, it is important to remember what methods of teaching/learning are developmentally appropriate for the kids. So, we do break away in order focus directly on those areas.

Also we can see in the scriptures….

•   Children were important to Jesus--"let the little children come to me” Matt. 19:4
•   Children were given instruction in the bible--"obey your parents in the Lord” Eph 6:1
•   God gave instruction to parents regarding rearing their children--"train up a child..."
•   Jesus also took time as part of His ministry to spend time with children.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Kids are little sponges just eagerly waiting to absorb knowledge and experiences—What a great privilege and responsibility we have to saturate them with the story and love of God.

I invite you to join in on what God is doing in the lives of Children.

Love, Johni Morgan
